PAC Meeting updates

We had a great turnout for the McBride Annex PAC meeting on September 20th. The minutes from last month’s meeting are available for distribution.

Hot Lunch ordering online is open

Hello Parents!

Our ordering system is GREEN, so instead of filling out a paper order form, parents will place their hot lunch orders online using MunchaLunch.com!

New this year, the Hot Lunch program will be twice a week, every Tuesday and Thursday.  In addition, we will be trying out the Hot Lunch program as a small fundraiser.   The money will be used to pay for running the hot lunch program and towards school needs.  October will be our trial run with the new program, so we would appreciate parent’s feedback at the next PAC meeting on October 10th.

NO cash or cheques accepted

Our local vendors include; Ragazzi Pizza, Dream Sushi, Curry Express & BitterSweet Kitchen


HOW TO REGISTER:

Click on the Munch a Lunch link: https://munchalunch.com/schools/McBrideAnnex/ then follow the instructions on how to register as a user.

Online ordering is now OPEN and will CLOSE Friday, October 6th at 9PM.  


NO LATE ORDERS ACCEPTED 

Immediate payment is required in order for the order to process with MunchaLunch.

We encourage parents to send water and fruits/vegetables for a complete healthier meal.

Please note if your child is ill or away on a hot lunch day, you are welcome to come and pick up their lunch but we cannot keep the food for them for the next day.

In addition, we will be looking for volunteers to help run the hot lunch program.  Please keep your eyes open for the volunteer list that will be sent out later this week, via Google Docs.

In the rare case that a parent has children in two schools using this system, they can email below to get their account adjusted.
If you have children in two different schools,

First PAC Meeting

Dear Parents,

Welcome to all new families and welcome back to returning Annex families. This is shaping up to be a very exciting year. Please find below some information about upcoming PAC meetings and activities.
 
Save the Date – Wednesday, September 20th (6-7:30pm).
The first PAC Meeting of the year will take place Wednesday, September 20th (6-7:30pm) in the school library. Agenda items include the election of the Executive (Chair, Treasurer, Secretary, Hot Lunch Coordinator, Fundraising and Spring Fair Coordinator) as well as budget and discussion of initiatives and activities the PAC would like to undertake this year. This is also an excellent opportunity to meet our new VP, Lindsay Thompson. There are so many ways you can contribute and make this an amazing year for the Annex Community. Come out and learn more. Childcare is available.

PAC Meet & Greet

screen-shot-2016-09-08-at-9-58-33-pmWelcome back to school. We invite all parents to join the PAC for a meet & greet in the library at 9 a.m. on Monday, September 12. We look forward to seeing you there.

The purpose of the Meet & Greet will be for parents to have a chance to reconnect with each other and for new parents to meet others in the community. Ms. Robertson will speak about the upcoming year and members of the PAC Executive will provide information about the PAC. Information about elections and the budget will be discussed at this meeting. Coffee and treats will be provided. Please come out and join us!


All parents are part of the Parent Advisory Committe and we encourage everyone to attend the meetings. Our first PAC meeting of the year will be on Wednesday, September 28th from 6:00 to 7:30pm in the library. At this meeting, all parents vote for members of the PAC Executive. The PAC Executive positions are: Chair, Treasurer, and Secretary. Each postition can be held by two people. The PAC plays a crucial role in the school with supporting the school and fundraising. PAC also organizes special events throughout the year. We’d love to have you join us to learn more about the PAC and become involved. If you have any questions about the PAC, please email McBrideAnnexPAC@gmail.com – Childminding is provided byn the PAC.
