Hot Lunch ordering online is open

Hello Parents!

Our ordering system is GREEN, so instead of filling out a paper order form, parents will place their hot lunch orders online using!

New this year, the Hot Lunch program will be twice a week, every Tuesday and Thursday.  In addition, we will be trying out the Hot Lunch program as a small fundraiser.   The money will be used to pay for running the hot lunch program and towards school needs.  October will be our trial run with the new program, so we would appreciate parent’s feedback at the next PAC meeting on October 10th.

*You can securely pay for your orders by credit card

NO cash or cheques accepted

Our local vendors include; Ragazzi Pizza, Dream Sushi, Curry Express & BitterSweet Kitchen

Click on the Munch a Lunch link: then follow the instructions on how to register as a user.

Online ordering is now OPEN and will CLOSE Friday, October 6th at 9PM.

Immediate payment is required in order for the order to process with MunchaLunch.

We encourage parents to send water and fruits/vegetables for a complete healthier meal.

Please note if your child is ill or away on a hot lunch day, you are welcome to come and pick up their lunch but we cannot keep the food for them for the next day.

In addition, we will be looking for volunteers to help run the hot lunch program.  Please keep your eyes open for the volunteer list that will be sent out later this week, via Google Docs.

Please note:
In the rare case that a parent has children in two schools using this system, they can email below to get their account adjusted.
If you have children in two different schools,
Email with your 2 school names.

Thank you, McBride Annex PAC

McBride Annex Singers

All of our students in Kindergarten to Grade 3 participate in a weekly music program that is coordinated by one of our parents (Hannah Hamm) and all of the classroom teachers working collaboratively together. We’re thrilled to be educating our students about the gifts of music and song! This links well to the outstanding music and choral program that already exists at McBride main school. Kids Helping Kids Projects

Dear Parents and Guardians,

The KHK club are working on a few projects and are seeking donations to help local charities. Three students are doing a presentation and short play in classrooms today to promote the services that the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) does. Another group of students did presentations in classrooms yesterday about BC Children’s Hospital and will be asking students for donations next week. Both groups have ambitious goals to raise $100 for each charity. A third group is also doing a garage sale of used toys and books in the gym at lunchtime on Thursday, Feb. 13th. The money that they raise will also go to BC Children’s Hospital. Students can purchase used toys and books for prices from 25 cents to $1.25. Please send money with your child in a labelled envelope to support any of these projects.

Two other groups are working on short skits to perform in classrooms. These are still works in progress. Additionally, the whole club will be working on a performance for our Day of Pink on Feb. 26th. Some students are working on script writing with me while others will be performing, making posters and doing narration for the play.

The students are quite excited about these projects and we appreciate your support of their social justice projects.
